Customization with Water Jet Services

Creating customized elements to your countertop or other product is achievable by the waterjet services SCI - Surface Center offers. Our waterjet machines are very versatile and can cut almost any material: metal, stone, plastics, glass, ceramics, rubber, and more.

Customized waterjet cuts are accurate, detailed, and leave very clean edges. This lowers cost for you by minimizing waste and avoiding highr costs for material loss. Customizing your piece does not cause heat-affected zones, heat distortion, or mechanical stresses on your countertop material.

The waterjet shoots water and an abrasive garnet out of a 0.014 inch hole at up to 60,000 psi. The water and abrasive travel at 3 times the speed of sound and cuts a line less than a 16th of an inch.
